How do i find out about houses for up for auction in my area?

i have looked on the net and found a couple on findaproperty.com, and some sites that say they can give info on houses for auction in (Northampton) if you pay monthly fee's etc (are they a rip off?) are there any trustworthy sites out there that will give me good info and available houses that are going up for auction..? i'd love to see if im missing anything as im looking to buy (fairly cheaply)
