I posted this in the insurance forum, but didn't get any responses so thought I'd try you guys!
We currently get our buildings and contents insurance through sheila's wheels (joint policy, although OH is corresponding policyholder). Our renewal letter has just come in for next month so I did the MSE thing and used a comparison website (thorugh quidco, got £1.50 for it). Anyway Sheila's wheels has still come out as the top policy and the charge is almost identical to what we were quoted (so much for the 10% discount we got told we had been given!). Quidco are offering £45 cashback for contents and buildings and buildings insurance.
So what I'm asking is can we tell them we are not renewing our existing policy and then take out a new policy through Quidco? We'd be happy to change the corresponding policyholder to me if that would make a difference? I can't see anywhere stating it has to be for new customers but thought I would ask here.
Thanks!
