Am I still entitled to claim JSA?

Hi All

I have been redundant for just over 3 months but have thankfully managed to find another job which I start in 3 weeks time.

I have been asked to attend a back to work interview which obviously isn't necessary.

My question is am I still entitled to claim Job seekers allowance for the next 3 weeks until my new job starts? Should I inform the job centre straight away saying I've found a new job or would they stop my JSA straight away? Alternatively should I just keep quiet attend the back to work interview and not tell the job centre until a day or two before I start my new job?

Thanks in advance for any help or advice!

If you are seeking temporary work until you start your permanent position, you are entitled to claim JSA. If you no longer wish to seek work, you are not entitled.
    Gone ... or have I?

I have just found FT, permanent work. I rang up the jobcentre to inform them, and was told that my JSA would continue up to and including the day before I started work.

Thanks all for the advice much appreciated.

Guess I'm one of the lucky ones in getting a new job quite quickly.

Good luck to everyone else trying to find a new job! :)
