But then you're going to be spending more as you're throwing away the food that you now don't fancy and then buying a takeaway!! It's just discipline hun!! How about giving yourself a couple of options? For example, I make a lots of meals in bulk and freeze them, so tonight I have the choice of either jacket spud with cheese and beans, or risotto, or chilli con carne!! Makes it a bit easier to stay on the wagon I feel!!

  • I fall off every now and again and have to haul myself back on the wagon, dust myself down, and start all over. Whilst being grateful it wasn't a massive splurge.

Having a choice seems like a good idea, as purpleprincess pointed out or just have pork or whatever you took out of the freezer and eat it and get on with it!!! That's what I do if I find myself not fancying it... but that's why I plan a meal and that's what I have to do to reduce the debt. Sorry if that sounds harsh, but it keeps me going...

Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.
  • Yes, today I almost bought some make-up, I was very strong, I managed to walk away, but it was tough. I used to buy loads and still have loads.

  • The difference here is that pre-LBM you wouldn't have noticed a slip and now you do. Haul yourself back on but don't forget the odd treat!
