I think I would just put a smaller portion down and see if Daisy eats it all. Then maybe try a bit more later on.
We are lucky TJ eats as soon as its put down, and he can sniff out a Crumb from 60 paces lol.
Maybe you could even stand Daisy`s bowl on one of those ice blocks used for a freezer bag, that would keep it cool and fresh.
I know this is expensive v but it has slot for an ice block, my way is more MSE lol. I bet there would be a cheaper one on Ebay

I feed wet food in the colder months and dry food now, when the flies are about. Yesterday i went to waitrose and bought some scallops reduced to 20p, and guess what - i fed them to the cat! He thought he was in heaven :A.0

I've got those things you hang up at your doors to stop the flies coming in - strips of plastic - £1.99 each from home bargains... Also fly papers in the rooms help. Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0

Thing is, he is a stray cat that has lived in our shed for the last 15 yrs. He has a very comfortable life. The owners moved a few streets aways and took him with them, but he didnt like it there. They tried a dozen or more times and he kept coming back, we never fed him or encouraged him. He got so thin, his owners asked my mum to look after him, and they would pay for his food and vets - so he stayed.0
