Hi
With OpenOffice word processor you can set the default to doc.
Look in Tools > Options > Load/Save > General
Look for the box that says 'Always save as..'Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.0 -
Well, ICI or not....as a business using unlicenced software how would you fancy a £50,000 fine? They wouldn't find out? Well, someone could get a £10,000 reward for informing on you! Better stick to OPenOffice.

Yes, as I said:thistledome wrote: »
I think I just need to get used to Open Office, I probably didn't give it a proper chance last time.
I hardly think me using my sister's Word 2000 would generate quite the same fine as a London Company with an unlicensed Office on 30 computers. As I said, along with my hard drive it died beginning of this year anyway. If MS will pay £10k for that info, sounds like easy money for someone!
Thanks Bat999 :T, just what I need.
Thanks also aarrgghhLove the animals: God has given them the rudiments of thought and joy untroubled. Do not trouble their joy, don't harrass them, don't deprive them of their happiness.0 -
Word 2010 can open and save in Open Document format. 2007 can open them, but not sure about saving.Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
Now 20% cooler0 -
If you think you might in future need to send invoices via email I'd stick to .doc format.
I support a company who uses Openoffice for a couple of years now and they save all their documents in ODF. If they need to send a document by email they just create a PDF.
And why would anybody need an invoice in an editable format?0 -
