Web Hosting - thinking of a change

I am currently hosting my website through 1and1 and I am thinking about changing. I use the "home" hosting which is £4.99 a month as I need space and e-mail functions.
I've been with them for a number of years now and I am thinking of changing hosting and was wondering what was around and what people thought of other companies.
I am looking at the option of being able to host a database (either Access or MySQL) as well as e-mail and storage.
Any recommendations?

I've been using Rochenhost for a year. they give you SQL - Email and storage and it's only £1 more than your current host.

I know it says "business hosting" but for the price they give great support, it's based in the UK and US so you get fast replies from their 24/hr support.Laters

Webhostingtalk.com and also webhostchat.co.uk
Have a look on the advertising section of those sites, for the "Shared Hosting Offers"
Generally hosts with unlimited everything are a no-no although with the right server setup it won't matter as you will generally break their T + C before your break their serversOwner of andrewhope.co.uk, hate cars and love them

I use Dreamhost, for which I paid ~$200 USD for 4 years of unlimited hosting (including MySQL etc), working out to ~$4 per month.
Therefore, I'd say you're paying quite a lot for hosting.
I haven't used any UK based hosts, but heard good things about 1and1.0 -
I'd ask why you want to leave 1&1? Is it just change for changes sake - or is there an issue? I put my clients on 1&1 - and not just because I get commission(!) - but also because they've never yet let me down (the small commission wouldn't be worth it if I had to then spend hours helping them with support). I do also use 123-reg for a couple of accounts and they are fine too. Much of a muchness really.0
