Hi peeps
Just wanted to warn you about this .........
Yesterday and again this morning I got a call saying they were from Microsoft and they could see that my computer was running slow and that some error codes were showing up in my post code area they asked me to switch on my computer so they could adjust or something at this point alarm bells went off I said I don't think so and put the phone down the person speaking was obviously from India judging by his accent which in it's self made me suspicious that this was a call centre scam.
How do I check out a telephone number I did 1471 and the number was 034009054 would like to know who these people really are and where I could report them .
Checked on Microsoft and they say they do not make unsolicited calls to offer to help you repair your computer.

They're phoning from abroad, reporting them is useless. It's pretty common apparently, so don't worry. You were sensible enough to tell them to gtf. They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0

Register your phone with the telephone preference service, you can do the same with your post it's great and stops the unwanted calls. If they do get through you can ask they how they got your number as you are not registered.0
