If you rebook at Peterborough (using walk on off peak returns - you don't actually need to book ahead) it will reduce the cost by about £10

Advance singles Norwich/Peterborough and the off peak return on to Lincoln might be cheaper if the singles are available at the times you want - a quick look suggests they are not (well they are but not cheaply enough for you).

First piece of help do NOT use the trainline.com !

Use one of the Train Operating Companies sites, they sell tickets for the whole of UK and do not charge commission, booking fees, credit card fees, delivery fees, collection fees, etc, etc, - also you do get special offers on there which don't appear on other sites.

Would suggest you use the East Midlands Trains site.
Have had a quick look, there doesn't seem to be much going on that route in the way of cheaper tickets - probably a bit late in the day for that.
However, you can save a bit by buying single tickets and "splitting" your journey at Peterborough. Singles Lincoln to Peterborough start at £13, and Peterborough to Norwich start at £7. But these fares are not available on all trains, so you will have to decide which services you can use.
