Why do you need drivers to connect a laptop to a router? Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

i'm not sure, but the router came with some software ages ago...so is it easier to transfer data through the router then do it directly from PC to laptop0

you need a crossover cable for direct computer to computer connection - looks the same as normal ethernet cable but the ends are wired slightly different0

you don't need any drivers to plug your laptop into your router, just an ethernet cable.
if your laptop is connected wirelessley and your pc via ethernet then you should be able to copy the files with very little effort.Ever stop to think and forget to start again?0
