Hi - I had my shopping delivered yesterday and although I had been charged for it, my joint for sunday dinner was missing. I ran out to the driver and he double checked everything which was left in his van but it wasn't there. I mentioned it was my sunday dinner and even the driver said that it was bad and that I should ask for compensation. Anyway I called their CS and they refunded the price of the item but refused to give me the cost of delivery back on the grounds that it was only one item. I wasn't even after the compensation the driver suggested, I just wanted a refund for the service they said they would provide for me (ie do my shopping) which I ended up fulfilling for myself when I was forced to go shopping myself. It was irrelevent whether it was one item or twenty. I argued the toss but they wouldn't have it and was told to call back today to speak to the manager. I was fuming when I came off the phone.
Anway, after searching for advice on this forum, I called the store and spoke to the dotcom manager and he said no worries, they had some problems yesterday and of course he would refund the charge. No fuss, no bother, no arguments and he did it there and then for me.:T Why couldn't the CS do that in the first place and saved us all some stress?
