Kindle v Nook Ebook systems

Hi I have been trying to research the pros and cons of the ebook systems i.e. the Kindle or the Nook.Has anyone tried them, and which would you say was the easiest and least technical to use.I have a friend who bought the Kindle system and she swears by it ,but I know that Barnes & Noble have their own system the Nook and was wondering out of the two of them I want the easiest to use.
