Over limit on card advice

Hi I have gone over my limit on my barclay card this month as I have been keeping it full because they drop my limit if i leave it alone.

I have gone 1.34 interest over and paid £30 the same day but they have also charged £12.

What will this do to my credit file?


Also I have done it on my vanquis they have waived the £12 since I paid so dam quick and am a good customer apparentlu but I have had this card about 3 months will this kill the limit increase.

keeping a card to a limit isnt a good thing, if they want to lower the limit its not going to stop them they can just close it if they wish

Not what they said. They dropped it back in jan because orange home incorrectly marked me 1 month late a £20 phone bill. I got it corrected but barclay card won;t budge still 500-300 limit. I said if i had the card full what would of happened and she said we wouldnt of dropped it. They have been credit crunching since 2005 watching peoples credit files and trying to stop them getting into trouble.

before that i used 90% of my limit and paid in full each month but i have been borrowing on it for a few months. My cap1 is pretty empty and soon my vanquis will be.
