Hayley!!! You can't say all that and then not tell us what it was!!! C'mon spill
As we're only having a small daytime do I want our first dance to be the same as our first while we sign the register. It's one my OH wrote and recorded for me so it couldn't be more special

Oh Hayley that's a lovely song...I've got a CD of 'mood' stuff and it's on there - don't think I knew it before but it's great...I know why you said weird but I started having all kinds of images from Marilyn Manson to Rocky Horror Timewarp lol. I think it's really nice to use a song that has those sort of associations but most of our songs that fit that category dont really seem weddingy (in fact theres one that I've always said I want played at my funeral!!)....but once he'd recorded that song for me, there really was never any other choice

LOL, we had come what may from moulin rouge, by heck its a long song lol.

Now I have my daughters song picked already (she is 4 lol) She is called Cariad (welsh term of enderament). the name was picked as I was a big martyn joseph fan, when younger. So the song will be "gift to me" this song was about his daught and in it he sings "cariad lovely is it sad where you go can I wipe the tears from your eyes, have you seen the future do i run with you there) The corus is about his duaghter being a gift from god to him and is on her 4d scan vid, was played at her christening so I want it at her wedding, she smiles when he sings Cariad

Talking about long songs, I originally wanted this, 'Feels Like Home' by Chantal Kreviazuk, but at just under 5 mins, it would feel like a lifetime on the dancefloor!

Our one will be around 5 mins too but I was thinking of doing what my friend did...she had asked a few particular couples (best man and his GF, BM and her partner, a few close friends) to get up and start dancing partway through their long song. She'd also 'warned' the DJ it was going to happen. I hate the thought of dancing with my OH just on our own for that length of time - I know I'll spoil the mood by getting the nervous giggles :rotfl:

this is something i'm a bit stumped with at the moment too!! no idea what we are going to go for, but from my endless searches of my music to try and find something buried in the music collection, i have come across these slightly different, non-traditional type songs (none of which i can persuade OH to go with!)
