Even better, why pay a fortune for the call when you can call them free on this number....?
0800 015 8601
If that doesn't work, try this one...
01604 737 542 (not free but at least should only be a standard rate)
These numbers are listed on this website...

As you can see, they haven't been verified but may be worth trying?"I may be many things but not being indiscreet isn't one of them"0 -
Thanks catherine12345, RuthnJasper and barbiedoll for the advice. Both companies have said that they will remove the credit checks from my file. My main concern now is that they are unwill to release the information they hold on me under the Data Protection Act. I was wondering whether what one of the companies said about me not having any rights to request the release of information as it was fraud information and not information on myself was just nonsense talk.0

Thunderbolt, this is not a sales pitch, but I work for Experian.
I would strongly recommend that you apply for the free 30 day trial of our Creditexpert product, which may help you spot any more attempts to apply for credit in your name.
There are also links from the creditexpert pages to our very experienced ID fraud teams, who can help you sort things out if necessary.
The credit expert data should include any CIFAS records loaded at your address.Karma is a wonderful thing.0 -
Well Jonnyb, I am doing just what you suggested. I don't work for Experian so I'm unbiased. I'll see how they go and report back with what happened. I'm impressed so far.0

Yes and no I would have thought.
Yes, any information directly related to the fraudulant applications in question are not your details, so you may get declined HOWEVER if you send a DPA request for information relating to yourself, then they MAY have information from data harvesting operations, etc, that is not in relation to the fraudulent case and therefore in that respect I can not see how they can legitimately decline your request.Signaller, author, father, carer.0 -
