Can anyone advise me. 4 years ago I had my sunlounge built. o.k abit blonde & have left it till now. The electrician wired all the electrics (2 double pp. 2 lights. ceiling fan.television point) through a thing that looks like a hose. it goes through the wall of conservatory, lays on top of decking to the garage at the bottom of my garden where he drilled a hole some 3ft up the wall, threaded the"hose" through the hole & connected it to a power point in the garage, thus all the elecricity + outside light comes from it. is this right & most of all is it safe. I have contacted him & he is coming up monday but has said I dont know what I am talking about!!!!!!!
Please can someone advise me.

Very difficult to say exactly...any chance you can post some photos?
The 'hose' could actually be steel wire armoured cabling, and thus that would be fine...It would be good to see the supply connection also in the garage.
Until then, it is very tricky to say without a more detailed explanation.
Additionally, why have you left it for four years? Are you looking to sell the property or something else?

Is the "hose" black and quite firm?
If so that sounds like the legal armoured cabling. Perfectly safe and correct.
Is the "hose" very like garden hose and soft, so probably IS a hose?
I suspect it's the first one.0 -
It could be kopex or armoured cable but it shouldn't be on top of the decking. If you could post some photos up then we could have a better idea.0

Could be flexible PVC or Nylon conduit - I use it on a/v installs for signal and elv cable grouping in stud walls, also on some of the industrial & retail installs. Of course it could just be garden hose - I've seen it done!0
