On a sad note I have to report that not only don't I have a pantry (and yes I have aspired to one for many a long year!) I also don't have a utility room after a "honey I shrunk the utility room" episode earlier in the year - I now have a washing machine cupboard:rolleyes:

So not only didn't I achieve much today I am also very very very deprived:o

wendym - made me laugh, the house is far cleaner than the toddlers!

sarahsaver I like your rules, I do similar things and they work really well for me. The plan is to have the snug as ours with children banned, and the living room as a play room.

I have a pantry and a utility at the moment, but will just have a very large pantry once I move. And no kitchen till we put one in......

lots to do today, overnight visitor tomorrow so extra deep clean.

    no kitchen

so it will be 'all you can grab and eat' in the big pantry then :D
I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work ;)

If you're quick, you can pop in here for a cuppa and a muffin. I think TNG left a couple ;)

After yesterday's big kitchen spruce, DS has said he likes it tidy :D Thing is, I tidied a lot of things away, and we can't find the toaster :o

in the short term yes! I had budgeted for quickly putting the kitchen and a range oven in but the nasty mortgage has a huge retention till we get the house re-wired so kitchen has to wait till that is released  . There is a gas oven (hope it works!) and a sink in there, but thats about it. Lots of shelves in the pantry for storage, and room for a small table in the kitchen to use as a worktop. Current house was pretty much the same when we bought it so have coped before, mind you last time didnt have children to contend with

Breaking all my rules this morning, only me dressed and nothing much done yet. In mitigation I do have a yucky cold. Need to find some motivation asap.

There was 'no kitchen ' here when we moved in, well half of one upstairs and a hole in the wall in the kitchen where a sink should have been. Couldnt get a mortgage until we installed a kitchen sink!
Anyway back on topic - only trivial stuff on my list today, ds1 gave me a heart shaped sticker for tidying his room - aah! :)
DD came up with a list of all the jobs needing doing in her room - sort of got stuck halfway with decorating  but her list is great, because its easier for her to see that it should be a joint effort, she can do the decluttering and I will put the new curtains up.
Can't do a lot in the daytime as Im doing yoga this morning (my reward to myself on a Friday) then visiting a friend's new flat.
