house
meal plan/grocery list - important cos I got a bit slack when dd's were away - done although not brilliantly, usually try and make something to freeze like chicken nuggets but I've opted for an easy week this week. Also last time I made extra chicken nuggets to freeze I ended up cooking them that night cos they were so yummy they wanted more:rolleyes:
washing - did loads, only a couple more loads left in basket
ironing - pile's nearly as tall as me now! - done :j
kitchen sides - where does the stuff come from?? - done
5 min whizz round house - done & both dd's had made beds, put dirty washing in basket etc so I returned the favour by putting away their stuff left in downstairs hall
work
find my desk (and not by just putting everything into 1 big pile!) - bit more desk showing but not alot
invoicing - done (except for a couple of queries OH has to sort out)
& also school fund accounts - err nope
Not a bad day all in all!
Not sure wether to go watch TNG on News at 10 or hold out for The Sun exclusive tomorrow:rotfl:

Very Happy Birthday to Punky!
:bdaycake:
Did you get to meet the legendary Heston, and sample his snail porridge?
Morning Denise! You've done loads, and I'm still in my PJs!
TNG - how's your head this morning? I stayed up later than I should have, so feel a bit sluggish Bit of swift flying will sort that.
Lynz, what's the flat-selling status?
Sunny, party frock ironed? Just need to whizz round here, wrap Punky's present, then I'mm off.
See you later, at Punky's party!:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
Happy Birthday Punky! Have a lovely evening, I am green with envy. We used to do things like that before the monsters came and I gave up my lovely job and associated diposable income.
Ironing pile is still there, it has grown somewhat. It did help with the survey, he thought the door doesnt shut properly because of the ironing pile..... It has got warped over time because I keep cramming too many bulk buys in the pantry. My lovely new house has a walk in pantry, bigger than my current bathroom :T It also has no real kitchen, just a standalone gas oven and a lovely 1970s bathroom. I am busy admiring fired earth, roll top baths, farrow and ball, range ovens.......
Off to the butchers this mornig - tastes better for the same money IMHO. Big rib of beef to celebrate no major structural problems. :j
This afternoon we are going to do yet more de-cluttering as we need to start thinking about packing. I was fairly ruthless before but I still have some duplicate books. Can't make myself get rid of books :wall:
I also have to sort out the coal shed . Half a ton of coal is hidden underneath black bagged stuff ready for the move. As soon as we have stopped doing viewings it can all shift to the summerhouse (in clean bags!). I am too mean to put the central heating on when there is all the paid for coal to be left for our buyers.....'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -

Happy Birthday Punky,
Hope your having a nice relaxing morning in preparation for your party later. Your gonna need all your energy for when me and Pen Pen arrive, to kickstart the proceedings.
morning to all other flyers, I'm all in a tizwos here as i had some excellent news last night. My OH who has continued to live in the uk until he got a job here had a job offer yesterday. And its the job he wanted as well. So it looks like he could have moved over in time for Christmas!!:j :j :j
I moved over mid July so it has been really hard in the meantime and this is long longed for.
TBH i couldnt care less what the house looks like today as i am so happy, but i have my friend coming tomorrow for a week so i should make sure it is all up to date so i am not stressing about it while she is here. Hopefully the beauty of flylady will show itself today as i whizz around.....and there will be minimal to do.
I really do need to do a big shop though, i spent an hour last night doing my first online tesco shop here, (found it fab in uk) and when i got to checkout it kept saying page error. It advised me to log out and log in again but my shopping had all gone.
I suppose i should look at the long list i started at the beginning of the week and do what hasnt been done yet.
(Mmmm TNG seems to be laying low today, have we managed to buy up all the papers so he dosent have to read those awful things about himself.
have you seen the write up in his local rag?? Shocking it is...Lynz tell them what it said......:p )
Right off to find my best lippy, got a lot of celebrating to do at Punkys party...:D0 -
