hi all, i'm bub. this be my first post..
i recieved a parking ticket from a firm called Britannia parking in weymouth.
i ignored it to start with and then got letters from the firm claiming the charge was going up etc we want to take you to court if you don't pay etc.
now, all i did was put one wheel a little bit into the next bay due to the car park being a bit full and the only space i found was being intruded into by the car next to it.
i do have a picture if needs be.
i can post a copy of the letter i've sent them.
i phoned them today and asked why they'd sent a final notice, but they claimed they hadn't received my letter, so i emailed it to them today, and i'm waiting for them to get back to me.
what are the chances of them actually taking me to court?
thanks in advance.

For all practical purposes---NIL
From now on the best course is to ignore them and their ever more threatening letters.
See the first item in the stickies to see what you have to come.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -

You got more chance in winning the euro millions jackpot tonight than that
The thing to do is completely ignore them, they have NO legal right to issue real parking tickets, so it means the ones you got are completely unenforceable in law.
The letter from debt collectors and solicitors are bogus , and all part of the scam.
Have a look at what the legal expert on Watchdog recently said in regards to these kinds of tickets
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAIcdi9niHAExcel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
Britannia never take anyone to Court. Don't fall for it, the ticket is just a fake private parking one and is unenforceable.
Stop writing to them and just ignore their letters now. They only send about 3 letters anyway, they are very tame indeed. You owe them nothing, this is not a real 'fine'.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
