I would look at photo's of things you like, bridesmaid dresses, favours, table decs, your dress, mens suits, and anything else you like. Pay no attention to the colours, just collect a big scrapbook's worth. When you have enough to fill it, sort it into colours and see which you like best together, that way you can deliberate over it for longer and have something to help you explain it to your OH.

    Fab idea :)

I agree with others, with two years to go you will see so many things you like, you will be changing your mind every five minutes! I would definitely put all your ideas into a big book and then you can decide which to go with nearer the time.

I only picked my colours a couple of months back, and I am getting married in 19 days. Early on though I did go through a whole range of colours. You will get there in the end, and remember if you pick early sometimes you change your mind at a later date....
I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off :o

There's a list of about a billion things that are unlucky for weddings - my advice would be ignore it all! My mum went on about 'pearls are for tears' when I was looking at jewellry as though the tiara I chose would seriously affect my future chance of happiness!! :p

Would definitely agree with the scrapbook idea for colour scheme though.

I had mint green b/m dresses and we all had pearl necklaces and headresses with pearls in. :D

My Mum died a few months after my wedding and husband and I divorced.

But don't let me put you off. :rotfl:

This was the first thing I decided...

    YELLOW and BLUE

Some people think it sounds a bit garish but I may have more pastel colurs so not as BRIGHT.

Does the bride decide the colurs or the bride and groom???
