Unclaimed PayPal

Hi,
I recently bought an item from eBay and paid for it immediately through PayPal.
Now, some three weeks on, I checked my account as I was expecting a Quidco payment, and noticed that the money for the item had been taken from my account, but was unclaimed buy the seller.
I have sent messages to the seller asking why they haven't claimed but cannot get any reply.
Believe it or not I'd like this guy to get his money !
Also, my account has been debited by the amount due, so where is it if I don't have it and the seller doesn't have it ?
Any idea what I should do next ?
Thanks

Chances are the seller has not upgraded his account to accept Credit card payments. Reason because he would have to pay a fee to receive the money, if the payment is Instant out of your account and not credit card then I don't think there would be a problem.
It sounds like the seller is not in a rush for your money, he must not have got high enough amount to warrent him/her upgrading for. By rights if they accept Paypal they should accept any form of payment through this, so its not your problem its them.0 -

Hi,
I wasn't a credit card payment, it was directly out of my bank account.
So where is the money now?
Making money for PayPal I assume !0 -

I think also the seller needs a premier account to accept debit card payments too.0 -
I should also say this is an issue you should be communicating with the seller about. If they are not replying to your emails then its clear they do not want to sell the item at that price....again not your fault.0

If after 30 days the money still remains unclaimed then PayPal will return it to you. If it's been 3 weeks already then there's not long to go.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

Make sure you put in a non performing seller complaint as well in case of problems in the future.

Just to say that I have received the item from the seller and very quickly. I had good communications with him before I received it, but since then.........Nothing.
As I said, I've sent messages and e-mails, but no reply.
I left excellent feedback for him, but non has been left for me.
I think that perhaps I should write to him.0 -
So he's a performing seller, just a bad one... You've got yourself a good one there. Why do all the sellers I come across want paying before sending the goods? Something has probably happened in his life - has he been selling anything since - any activity on his account? Definitely contact him, and if you're honest you can promise to try to pay him at a later date if the money is returned to you. When he's paying attention.
On the other hand, it could be a glitch in the PP system - and it's lying to you!:wall:0
