Keeping final months rent payment...

You can't be evicted after only two months. Change locks, tell landlord no viewings, etc. Have your own way, there's nothing he can do. You don't pay good money to have random people trample through your home0

OP - you say" I rent through a high street nationwide agent so my deposit will be safe but presumably he could inform the agent to not give it me back."- have you checked whether your tenancy deposit has been scheme registered?

It doesn't say in either thread that the OP is being evicted after only two months: to the contrary, the LL is insisting that the OP sees out her original FT despite her wanting to go early.
In post #8 the OP says they have only been there 2 months.
If this is the case the LL cannot evict until 6 months so the OP has a lot of leverage to come to a good agreement with the LL who apparently has buyers eager to move in.0 -

The LL cannot START the eviction process until the 6 months are up. This is a strong negotiating point for the Tenant.0 -

As I have already said, according to the OP/T the LL is *insisting* that the T (who would like to go earlier) remains for the full FT.0
