Hiya,
Im just wondering if anyone has been on a med cruise before? I am going on one for the first time in September for my 21st with my mum.
Let me know your opinions on it and what was your favourite and least favourite part of it.

Hi we have been on one as we got married on board the ship (Oceana P&O)! I say the Med it was more the Canary islands now i look at them! We are booking one later today for the Med which has places like Rome, Italy, Gibralter etc.
Let me know where you are going etc and if we went to any of the same places i will let you know what we did/thought! Have you been on a cruise before? we are totally hooked and love them!0 -
Been on 3 amd loved it. Last year took 19 and 21 year old with us.
What ship are you going on ? You should go look at https://www.cruisecritic.co.uk They have a forums section you should look at , loads of info and tips.TOTAL 44 weeks lose. 6st 9.5lb :T0 -
This info might be out of date!! Went on a Med Cruise when I was 18 , by myself.
( had some money , friends did not) Started at Venice ,Dubrovinik Corith Canal , over to Ephus back via .... cant remember, it was over thirty years ago
Met a couple of Californian girls ( took up an offer of a place to stay a couple of years later)
What can I say , it was a wonderful experience, best part 'having' to meet/speak to people.
Worst part ..... can't remember any .
Ps Yes I can , overslept last night on board, had to pack in less than 10 mins to catch bus to airport.
Have a great time.0 -

If you are flying to/from the Med, don't forget your baggage allowance is only what the airline allows.
If you sail from and back to the UK baggage allowance is usually unlimited or pretty high.0 -
Med Cruises...have done two....problem is all other holidays after a cruise will be an anti climax....
Worst part ...Genoa....the pits,a good % of the passengers had their pockets picked and that despite being warned on board before going ashore....gangs of young kids surrounding people and robbing them...all so well planned and executed0 -

I fully agree with that! We have sat and discussed everywhere in the world and come back to a cruise ship every time as feel nothing else will compare! we have chosen the ship then narrowed it down to the times we can go and chosen a place.0 -
I would also warn everyone about Lisbon, too, for pickpockets, thought it was a dump, any way!
If you do go there, I suggest that you take a taxi back to the dock and NOT take the tram, they wait until everyone is boarding then push forward, taking purses etc then jump off and away in the confusion, believe me, they are very good at it.Filiss0 -
I have to say we went to Lisbon but can't remember it tbh although no trouble or i would remember! We booked our next cruise and one of the days i think is there again so will keep watch! Me and dh are very paranoid when we are out in foreign places anyway so tend to be as careful as we can.0

You are very quiet since your original post re cruise line etc. Dont worry you will love it even on one of the downmarket ones. Be warned once you have tried it you will want more. Have a brilliant 21st,0
