    Sorry but I disagree. They chose an increasingly common way of communicating (text) and gave you plenty of time to correct your mistake. I would be pleased they had actually tried rather that just cancel your order anyway I am sure lots of supermarkets wouldn't have bothered at all if they can't get paid.

    And you got your delivery free for your mistake........sounds like this should be applauded as good service.


    In principal thats correct but text messages can take up to 48 hours to be delivered (if you listen to mobile phone companies) just cos you send a text it doesnt mean that you get it straight away.

    I agree with poster that I would have preferred a phone call.

    Someone was able to send the op a text, so obviously not all of them are constantly answering one call after another.

    The text from our firm are generated from a computer. It is not an individual sending messages all day.
    For myself I am an optimist - there does not seem to be much use being anything else.

    ANother small point. Not everyone has texted messages enabled for receiving on their phones - I don't as my phone although new and un used when I got it, had no instructions, or secret code. So ASDA pulling that one on me, would have had same result!
