Lost Royal Mail Parcel

Hi,
I hope this is the right place here for my questions.
I returned 3 weeks ago a netbook with Royal mail. The parcel has an insurance worth £250 and was send as standard parcel I think (I paid
£10 for it). Apparantly, the company who should have received this parcel claims they never got. They are asking me for a tracking ID, but I can't find this information on my Royal mail receipt. Since I have this insuranced, I should be eligible to get the money refunded, is this correct.
I tried to call Royal mail, but it is impossible to get hold of a human being.
Thanks.

You would have been given something with the Tracking code on it, it'll be a 13 dgit code.
This will tell you where to look - http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/content2?catId=400145&mediaId=154004720 -
I cant find it on the receipt, the other company already asked me for it. I would have tracked it if this number would have been there
.
On the receipt it says:
Standard Pcl £250.00 £9.31
where the larger amound is the insurance amount.
Quite annoying I have to say0 -
Sorry, I missed the part about being sent via standard parcel post, in which case you don't have the ability to track the item. Still doesn't stop you from getting compensation from RM.0

Thanks for this positive reply
. Probably the best is when I just go into the post office and I ask them to fill out a claim. Their homepage is too confusing with all their forms .... 0 -
