Obscure Audi Car Part

I need a replacement wee rectangular bit of plastic which fits in the boot of an Audi A3, the bit where the boot clicks shut. It is spring mounted and is supposed to cave in when the boot closes each time. Obviously, it didn't this one time!
I'm trying to price it online before phoning Audi but Google comes back with nothing.
Any suggestions on how to source this part? All the usual spares sites only provide 'normal' parts.
I checked my mate's Audi A3 and his is broken too!

dealer only I'd guess, sounds like a common fault so any cars in scrap yards could well have the same problem0

Phone a breakers and speak to them maybe take a photo so you can email it to them.

or go to an Audi main dealer and check the part on the parts diagram they have on their system.0 -
I would phone Audi first and get the name/number of the part and their price.
It may be so cheap that further work is unnecessary.0 -
Thanks for replies.
Motorhog has plenty of scrap A3s but a rubbish server so I can't submit a request.
Times out every time.0 -
Try contacting an ebay supplier.
They often have cars that they break up for parts, I'm sure someone will have one.0 -
Result, rang Audi and ordered the part, < £4 inc. VAT. It'll cost me 3 times that to collect it mind.
Cheers guys.0 -
