PVC to seal off door gap

Hi,
I was speaking to a builder about sealing large gaps in my patio door, between it and the brickwork to stop water getting in. He said to use Tec7 and some form of PVC strips (square in shape I think). Does anyone know what these are called because I need to go to B&Q or Homebase this weekend and pick some up.
Many thanks,
C

You might be better getting them from a local pvc glazing firm.0

Okay. Thanks. Still don't know what I'm asking for though.0

I think it's just called UPVC trim - they will know what you are talking about if you ask for trim and have the size you need.0

Thanks. I'll give a local company a ring. :-)0

You need some quadrant trim, like this;
Scroll down page to quadrant.

Hi,
I have the quadrant trim and now need to glue it in place with Tec7. What is the best way to apply pressure all the way up the height of the door (2.2m) I am glueing this to? I think it has to be held in place for 30mins.0 -
Lots of glues on the same site.

I'm sure if you have to hold it in place for 30 minutes some tape might do it for you while the glue dries.0 -

Use external grade silicone, clean off any surplus.0 -
Sorry, I don't think I was clear enough. It's not so much the application but how to I keep it in place while it is drying out. I can't stand there for 30 minutes for each side of the doors. How can I actually keep the strip in place?
Thanks for any help. :-)0
