Vital Beauty don't really like to give refunds

I returned goods to a company called Vital Beauty because I wasn't satisfied but instead of a refund they're offering money off a future order. It makes me think they don't really like giving refunds and want to keep my money in their bank as long as they can.
I'll never be a Money Saving Expert while my kids are Mony Spending Experts.

Yes I read the thread though Im new to this forum and still finding my way around. I dont know of the Nivelles address but a friend bought some really good stuff (sports spray) from their magazine 2 years ago and wanted more but hasnt had a mailing from them since then. I saw your message by chance on my search for the company. Hope you're successful with the refund & I'll be sure to avoid their mailings in future.

Oft tackles vital beauty prize draw scam
BY NICK SOMMERLAD ON FEB 7, 08 12:49 PM IN JUNK MAIL
Not all these firms are beyond the reach of the law.
Last year the UK was flooded with hundreds of thousands of prize draw mailings from a catalogue called Vital Beauty.
The Office of Fair Trading believed the mailings misled people into thinking they'd won £14,500.
In fact, almost everyone who entered the draw "won" a small voucher to use in the catalogue.
This time the OFT stepped in and got a result. The company behind Vital Beauty is Agence de Marketing Applique, in Mouscron, Belgium, but its boss, Stephane Alech (left), lives in Cannes.
When we finally tracked him to an office complex in nearby Antibes he told us he'd reached an agreement with the OFT and promised that he was changing his mailings.
But he added:
"There are always some phrases that are written in a smaller type than others. This is a normal marketing technique - but we will respect the judgement of the OFT by making some changes.
"For example, it is now written clearly on each page that these games are free and without an obligation on the customer to buy.
"We work in several countries in Europe and the legislation is different in each country which can complicate matters in a business like ours.
"We try to adapt to the administration of each country."
In other words - he will get away with as much as he can. We're watching him.0 -
I am a War Pensioner, pretty much confined to the home, so foolishly ordered products from Vital Beauty mag this year in good faith. Guess what! I have been inundated with endless documents advising that I've won anything from £6,000 - £17,000 but had NO deliveries of items ordered. Having just read these posts I doubt there is any point inviting refunds of my money, but will try. I am not an elderly WP, so don't misunderstand.. but please warn others that Vital Beauty seems to be invading UK again.
Thanks for the forums. This is my first time just by trying to find info re this company, so all info is appreciated. Thanks everyone, Mo0 -
Dear All,
I have just sent £20.00 cheque for products that I ordered
off the company called Vital Beauty, this was on the 21st June 2010.
Unfortunately I have received nothing back from them.
If someone knows the address or details that I may TRY at least to contact them I would apprcciate it...
I disregarded the jargon on winning the money as I have had so many of these things in the past with other organisations that it just goes over my head now...
I just ordered the products because I wanted to try them...
I would appreciate the help with this one if possible so as I may find out what has happened to the products only......
Best regards,

I have received today, four months after requesting the return of a cheque, " The cheque". It has taken a lot of perseverence to obtain it. It was for a large amount taken out after an order was cancelled, and assurance that it would not be cashed.
First I had to send proof that I had sent the cheque, which my bank gave of proof it was taken out. Then said they had not received it and wanted proof of the cheque, and its' clearing station, which again my bank provided.
Finally after three months, I called my local Trading Standards, Consummer advice and they gave me the format to write to them this.
Legistration.
To whom it may concern.
The consummer act protection distance selling regs. 2000
What ordered. When ordered. When paid. when cancelled. Then state, I want refund in 20 days.
I did not do this, though I am sure it will work.
I have sent back all their mail return to sender, with a note on the back stating they had taken my money and were not refunding it, and this was illegal. I think maybe they have got the message and sent me the cheque . Bess of luck, and lets not buy from these people.0
