Lost Shares - Just Group plc...

Hi,
I bought some shares in Just Group plc around 11 years ago.
I forgot about these until I found the share cert. recently.
After some google research it seems they went bust or were bought out.
Is there anyone I can contact to find out if my shares are worth anything? They are not listed on LSE. (used to be on AIM)
From the sound of it there is an action group (which I cant find contact details) and prosecution has been served on former directors. I think KPMG were the liquidators.....
Any help would be appreciated.

I too was unfortunate to buy Just Group shares and also still have the share certificates. Whilst I would agree that the shares are worth nothing now I am curious to know how qualified you are to simply say that they are worthless. If you have some inside knowledge on which this opinion is based would you be so kind as to share it

Was it them with Butt Ugly Martians?0

I also jumped on the get rich quick bandwagon, being driven by Just Group back in 1999. My investment is worthless along with the unfortunate others. All i can say is those responsible for robbing this big angry bear, may you be driven to hell and die slow painful deaths.0

If you come across an old share certificate for any company that no longer exists, it should have the Registrar's name on it somewhere. For example, Equiniti administer the shares for many many companies: even if the company you invested in no longer exists the Registrar will probably still exist.
So for those old share certificates, contact the Registrar and ask them what happened to the company. They'll know if it's gone bust, been taken over, changed its name, etc.
Occasionally companies change Registrar, or Registrars themselves get taken over, but you can usually easily follow the trail by starting with the original Registrar.0 -
just thought i would tell you the first came to prominence in the mirrors city slickers column'since piers morgan was the editor they were all police probed into the column and found to be fraudulently tipping shares through the column,ie making them go up and selling before finding out they were worthlessbig_bad_brad wrote: »I also jumped on the get rich quick bandwagon, being driven by Just Group back in 1999. I too jumped on the bandwagon and was aware of all the issues. However if another company took them over and shares were re-issued, should share holders have been advised as I cannot recall ever receiving notification.0

Has anyone found anything out yet? I just found this page and I also bought shares back in 1999.0
