Query on Shared ownership..........

Morning everyone! Wondered if anyone could help me here............I know I need to call the Housing Association but I am an impatient madam and can't wait til 9am for them to open lol!!

Three years ago, my husband bought into a 50/50 shared ownership leasehold property. The mortgage is in his name as i was unable to obtain a mortgage at the time, so subsequently, the mortgage, the land registry and the leasehold are all his name.......now the other rented 50% is in both our names....I've never ever signed anything to do with this house except a declaration of trust with our solicitor who dealt with the conveyance..........I was having a conversation yesterday with NDL and they were very surprised to hear I am named on the rented half.......so now I am asking whether I actually should be?! Like I say, I've never signed my name to anything at all during the process. We are trying to sort out debts out and have rent arrears and basically, we believe these should be in my husbands name only, as I shouldnt be on the leasehold or tenancy?

Any help gratefully appreciated :)

Would you have been allowed to live there, if you had not been mentioned on any of the paperwork ?

What rules does the lease have for other occupants ?

It does not seem quite right that you accept the protection of a lease/tenancy for three years, then drop the protection when it suits you, for financial convenience.

    Read the small print.

I have neither accepted or dropped protection of a lease or tenancy when its suits me! And certainly not for financial convenience!!!! It was simply pointed out to us that this was incorrect and I wanted to find out if this was true! I signed a form of consent which gave me consent to occupy the property as I am not on Mortgage
I have since spoken to housing and NDL were correct and I should not be named on anything! and it is being rectified as we speak.
