Norton Internet Security stops me MSEing

Hi all.

I am using XP Home with IE 6 and Norton Internet Security (NIS) 2003. I have to disable NIS to visit MSE.com or any of it's chat forums. If I don't, my computer will not load the pages. I don't get any error messages, I just get the blue line across the bottom of the page going at snail's pace and then stopping.

I would be really grateful for any advice.

Have you tried adding the site as a trusted site?

ditch norton its a system hog and will slow your computer down and also would advise swapping IE for firefox

couldnt agree more. I ditched IE for Firefox and Norton for NOD32.
