Lost My Job During Transfer Of Parties

Hello all. I've used the website for quite a while and just read the forums but now felt the need to post due to a hole I'm now in.
I live in Scotland and my girlfriend and I have owned the flat since November 2003. We split up 7 months ago and she moved to her sisters place, and in April we decided to press ahead and change the flat into my name only.
I passed the Northern Rock credit check and just had to sign a form so accept the charges, but it seems that they have not recieved it. It is now over the 3 months since they performed this credit check, and I know that recenty my credit rating has turned bad (Even the cowboys have refused my loans). So I'm fairly certain that I am going to have to fill in another form to Northern Rock BUT they will likely want to redo the credit check which I think I will fail.
I lost my job yesterday, and have registered to go onto sick benifits as I have tourettes syndrome and now also bad depression.
My girlfriend has caused me no harm and hasn't lived here for 7 months but has paid the mortgage with me, so I don't want to cause her any more hassle and she is running out of patience.
Now I am scared that the 'transfer of parties' is now not going to go through, and also I will lose home because I cannot pay the mortgage. I am also now scared that my ex girlfriend (who has been great until now) is not going to be able to get off of the deeds due to my probable failure in the repeat credit check.
I cannot lose my home because I have to look after my gran who lives nearby, but I cannot move in with her because there is no room.
It's just a mess that this has all happened at the same time. If only Northern Rock had got my form, the 'change of parties' would have been done by now! All this because the royal mails couldn't deliver a letter! Is there anyone who knows anything about this sort of situation?
Thankyou and regards,
Dave

you can sell the home and just rent nearby. Your situation doesn't sound too great, and renting would take a lot of stress out of the mixture. Obviously claiming sickness benefits still works for a rental place. Did you lose your job because of your condition?0
