...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.

Is it a new listing? My Property Bee doesn't work so well with Primelocation, and I can't tell when the date it was first found. If it's a recently added listing to Primelocation, maybe the EA will add further info in the next week or so?
* I found the address details by using the Map tab at Primelocation. Houseprices.co.uk is down at the moment, but nethouseprices.co.uk record next door, number 10, selling for £1,551,500 in January 2010.
* In the Street View (direct link; wait a moment for it to acquire) there is a To Let board outside, from a firm I associate more with commercial property but which I've discovered also do residential.
Following that up gives this listing link page.
So maybe both houses were home to one of the above for a while, but no longer. The plaque on the wall at the door of number 12 (Street View) looks blank, as if it has been removed prior to DTZ trying to let it.11-12 Great James Street are two adjoining attractive Grade II period buildings providing cellular office space and meeting rooms throughout. The building is therefore, ideal for solicitors, barristers or professional occupiers.
* This firm of Chartered Surveyors / Planning Experts (ect) won consent to turn it from offices to residential.0 -
The agent is in London. The property looks as though it's in London. What's the old saying?
If you have to ask the price, you can't afford it.....0 -

Also, the architects info - with some thumbnail internal plans, drawings and photos. Two adjacent town houses dating from the 1720s were combined into a single office in the early C20. MBA were appointed to convert them back into contemporary town houses, making the most of their historic fabric. Planning permission and Listed Building Consent were achieved in June 2008.

When I posted the link it didn't have a price....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0
