    Id just advise them that your mileage or estimated has gone up

    I would tell them and I have done. I had a mileage limit of 6000 and my useage changed unexpectedly mid-year to an estimated 10,000. Direct Line increased my premium about 2% although they also added a £15 administration fee.

    If you tell them they will charge you an admin fee of around £30 and a bit extra for increase in mileage, 1-2k more I would not bother paying telling not if I have to pay £50, no chance. Hey its upto u.
