Drain leak in the garden

Hi,
Not sure if this is the right forum for some advice (that will hopefully save us some money!).
We have been suffering a leaking sewage drain in our back garden the past few weeks that, I hope, was cleared today by the council. The leak has covered approximate 4 sq m of our patio daily and left a 2 sq m patch of our lawn dead and pretty grim! Now, we were in the midst of clearing the garden with the view to laying new turf before this happened and actually have little lawn currently. So the garden was in far from a good state to start with.
So, can I expect any assistance from the council??
Ooh, forgot to say. The drain is used by a bunch of our neighbours (all property trust owned and rented out) and not by our property.
Thanks!

When I was building my house I covered a large area of the original lawn with 2-3ft of sub soil from the foundation trenches. After several months the sub soil was used to back fill the trenches. It looked as if the grass had all died, but within a very short period it had started to re-establish itself. No reseeding was needed at all.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
You are lucky you didn't have to pay for the leak to be sorted cost our road £400 to have it cleared0
