Im looking for a car radio unit so i could connect it with my htc desire to play music etc via the car speakers. My question is what should i be looking for in the head unit, should i look for ones with a usb port or ones with aux port or something else.

I'd say defo get one with USB, because then you can have the phone charged without the need for a separate charger hanging out the cigar lighter socket.

If you want to playback using the phone's user interface, you may also want an Aux input, as otherwise you'll be dependent on the head unit's user interface to select tracks (effectively accessing the phone simply as a USB storage device), and I've not yet found one that's very easy to use...

Some Sony ones allow bluetooth streaming of music but it hammers batteries on the phone.
