Are they allowed to change the conditions of the policy without issuing another policy. I just find it incomprehensible that someone who does everything to make sure that they are covered while on holiday, has an accident only to find that the conditions of her policy have been changed and she is not covered as she thought. They say a letter was sent in January explaining the change which we have no recollection of receiving, despite saving all other correspondence regarding the account. Surely if the conditions of a policy are changed then a new policy should be drawn up.

can you say what the change was?
We have one of the other accounts with TI and are interested if ours might have changed in a way that could impact us.0 -
When the account was first opened the travel insurance covered for 90 days and this is stated in the policy, however they are now saying that the cover is only for 31 days as of May but there is no new policy.0

This increases my "hate" for "Premium Bank Account" it's a con, you'd get better coverage arranging yout travel ins and saving the Premium Account monthly charges even including any other "additional benefits"!
Call the FOS 0845 080 1800 and ask them.C. (Ex-Pat Brit)

Have to say that we were disappointed with the Barclays Travel Insurance too, 3 months after we joined the scheme (last year) we received an amendment which removed all cover if 'one way' flights were bought. To gain full cover a return flight ticket had to be purchased - we cancelled to Premier account. Now to read that the 90 day cover has been removed, that would have been the last straw. :mad:0
