Its a bit rank lol ...no wonder you want to get rid...it comes of depends on how old/well its held on to original brickwork.
Prob need it re-rendered then slap a coat of masonary paint on it same as the one on the left.0 -
rendering = paying a spread!
Was thinking hammer + bolster then thick coat of paint. Like the grainy paint?
After googling it seems to be a bit of an unknown like you say depends how well it was done.0 -
eek thats horrible mock tudor
OP thought you were renting "good job im renting"0 -
not renting this. thinking of buying0

hammer bolster - and some tears
you could use one of those chisel/bolster drills
There is no way you will be able to bodge it. its going to need taken back to original brickwork, then rendered. You may be able to bodge it then render but think thats just silly as it will not take much to do it properly.
If you just take the minimuim off eg wood, fill in the gaps then paint it will not look much better than it does now.0 -
Our neighbour had some rendering done once, the builder 'roughed up' the brick faces to take the rendering, so you may find if you take the rendering off that the bricks are chipped, scratched and marked, thats why re-rendering is probably the best option.0

Please tell me that house has got the mock beams on the inside too! Whoever did that really did it with style, that's a carefully thought out, attention to every detail kind of job.0
