My Insurance won't pay out

Hi guys

I hope someone can help, I took out car insurance and paid the whole premium in full, a few months later I changed my car, called my insurer to change the car details and they said there was an extra £75 to pay and they sent me a credit card slip to complete and return which i did asap, then a few months later I had an accident, it was my fault but luckily no damage to my car, I reported the accident to my insurer as usual but they had great difficulty tracing my policy, after numerous calls they then informed me that they had cancelled my insurance as they had not recieved the £75 I informed them this was the first I heard there was a problem as I had not recieved any communications (but they said they had sent letters) I argued this was not good enough and basically they had knowling had me driving around uninsured!! and that their admin was at fault and to put me through this over £75!, since this, the other driver has taken me to court and i now have the bailiffs wanting £1200 off me - also the other drivers insurer when contacting me always sent there letters recorded (to make sure i recieve) - where do i stand?

    Got to be a Troll.

Three posts one in June/2008 another in May/2009 and now today all exactly the same, you have answers in the other threads why ask the same question again?

I would be very surprised in this day and age if an insurer requested credit/debit card details to be sent in the post!
