Insurance Claim

Hi, I had an accident a few days ago and my current insurance policy expires in about a week, and i'm switchinfg to a new company.

My insurance company (swiftcover) is expecting to go 50/50 on the claim and are happy to pay for the repairs, but, I have paid for temporary replacement car cover and they will not provide me with a car because by the time my current car can get booked in for repairs my policy with swiftcover will have expired.

Can they do this?

For anyone interested, I eventually put in an official complaint to swiftcover, and they rang me the next day and paid me cash to arrange a temporary replacement car myself.

None of the claims advisors were willing to do anything to help, but at least I got what I paid for.

Also watch out for swiftcover trying to deny any claim if your MOT has expired. How many will just give up their claim on being told that?
