Adjusting "Open Link in New Tab" Feature of Google Chrome?

Hello,

I'm a big fan of Google Chrome and have taken to using it as my main browser.

One thing that annoys me is that I often like to open a few links in new tabs at a time, or rather one just after another.

Chrome will only let me open then waits until this page is fully loaded before allowing me to open another.

Defeats the purpose of having a few tabs loading in the background so I can then view the page without having to wait for it to load.

Is there anyway of solving this?

Have tried looking in the settings but no joy there.

I would like to help, but I'm unsure of the question.

I have used Chrome from nearly the very first day it was released. I can open as many tabs as I like simultaneously. (Do you mean that you right-click, open in new tab..?) they all open without waiting for the previous tab to load.

Can you clarify exactly what steps you are taking?

What I right click on a link and choose open in new tab the new tab appears and a swirling icon in the tab indicates the page is loading. This is fine if the page loads quickly, but if its slow to load, due to it being a big page or problem with the site the icon keeps swirling and if I try to right click and open another link in a new tab Chrome will not let me. Once the first tab has loaded it will let me open another but it wont allow me have more than one extra page/tab loading at a time.

Hope this makes it clearer.
