British Gas Mistakes Customer Charter & compensation!
hi-first posting on here so apologies if it's in the wrong place, been asked before etc. Ok, there is no MAJOR problem, just a series of niggles including a straightforward "which is the cheapest tariff" question which they (from what I can see) have answered incorrectly (therefore costing me money-not hundreds but money is money or we wouldn't all be here!) I am on the online tariff with energysmart for both gas and electric (I can't make sense of the monthly on-line statements but that's probably just me....)
After confessing to "a colleague" making a mistake (again, just a niggle) they offered a choice of gifts for being a "loyal customer"-nothing like a bit of bribery/emotional blackmail....(gift still not received btw so another email sent). Anyway, is there a specific customer charter (which I can't find with google)? I had a similar long list of complaints with Anglian water which I hassled them for (some would call it stalking....) and finally got a £1000 bill wiped out (with a major reduction due to their incompetence then a series of £20 compensations for each subsequent mistake I pointed out). Does British Gas have this kind of compensation rule hidden away somewhere?. I have traipsed through their site and had a trundle through a few trillion other bits and bobs but can see nothing....
Thanks in advance for any help

The only obligated compensation is when they miss metering appointments.
