Combi Centra Heating System Query.

According to the Energy Performance Certificate I have received on a proposed house purchase the Central heating system does not have a room thermostat.

Is this normal for a Combi Central Heating System?

Thanks for any advice.

It has probably received a lower energy rating because you have no room stat.

Room stat's are mandatory on new installations, but not retrospective. TRV's are good in conjunction with a room stat, but the boiler will never shut off when all the rooms are hot enough, therefore wasting gas.

Would it be a DIY job to fit a room stat, I do have some knowledge of electrics.

Fit a wireless stat. Very simple to do. Just make sure you FULLY isolate boiler from electrics first.
