Thorpe Park - Neptunes Beach

I'm thinking of taking my 4 year old to Thorpe Park next week and while I understand there are going to be lots of rides she wont be big enough to go on, there seems to be a few for her plus Neptunes Beach looks quite good.

Can anyone tell me if adults go on the rides in Neptunes Beach with them? I'm not sure if I should be packing another set of clothing in case I get wet, a swimsuit as I will get wet or if I will just be watching from the wings! It looks as if there are rides in there but I'm not sure what they consist of and if they require swimsuits or shorts/tops.

Can anyone also confirm whether you can get single fast track tickets allowing you to fast track on one ride? I'm sure I read this somewhere but cant now find it on their website!!

We have annual passes, refillable cups, will take a picnic so the day shouldnt cost too much so thought I might get the single fast track tickets for Loggers Leap - assuming I havent made it up!!:rotfl:

Thanks for reading my waffle!

Thanks

You can get single fast tracks, but only on certain rides iirc.

Thanks for confirming that - thought I'd made it up! Will have to see if it includes Loggers Leap.
  • Neptunes Beach wet area is just a big run around-in place with squirty bits etc. There is a small area next to it with 2/3 merry go round type things. As far as fastrack goes, from the site:
Tickets available - for guests OVER 1.4m only Price Accelerator Fastrack Stealth + Samurai, Vortex & Rush £10.00 + Entry Extreme Fastrack Colossus, Nemesis Inferno, X:\No Way Out, Loggers Leap OR Tidal Wave £10.00 + Entry Stealth Fastrack £4.00 + Entry Ultimate Fastrack Unlimited Fastrack on rides all day long - only applies to Fastrack rides... obviously. £60.00 + Entry
So your LO wouldn't be eligible for fastrack anyway.

TBH, there's only maybe half a dozen rides for tots in TP- and it's full of often rowdy, foul mouthed teens*- unless there's a specific reason for you wanting to go to TP, I'd flex the passes at Chessington instead!

Whatever you do, have a great day!

    Thanks PPTKO,

Was toying with Chessington first but thought I might save that for a special weekend and stay over - figured there was probably more there due to the zoo/sea life place.

So is Neptunes a bit like the water park at Legoland? I thought it was more like a waterslide park type place but maybe not!

Oh decisions decisions. not sure what to do now - definitely rule out Legoland - been loads of times and dont want to get bored with it!

Perhaps I might go back to plan a and go to Chessington for the day - Neptunes sounded fab but maybe I just read too much into it!

My teenage daughter loves Thorpe Park, but my 8 year old gets very bored there, as there is not much for her to do and it is heaving with teenagers. We have Merlin passes so we drop elder daughter off with a friend and go to Chessington with our youngest and return and spend the last hour or so in hot weather in Neptunes beach. As another poster says it is a big paddling pool area, with a sandy beach. It does have a couple of little play slides that under 10's can slide down into the water and a waterfall bit they can stand under. I wonder if the ride you are thinking of is the donut type helter skelter wet ride that is near the beach area. It usually has big queues and think it has a minimum height. Here is a picture of Neptunes Beach, I found via google for you to see.

Think this may be the ride nearby that you are thinking of:

Thanks folks, Chessington it is then tomorrow.

If Thorpe Park isnt that far away, might see how we feel towards the end of the day and pop in for a paddle at Neptunes and a nosey round. We have passes so it wont cost anything just to be nosey - think the chances are that my DD will be sound asleep
