Hello Moozie, Hello Black-Saturn , Hello Everyone.

Been a good weekend all in all. Yesterday bought a few basics that we'd run out od and spent about £4. We did go out to pick a load of blackberries (about 2Ibs) half of which are in the freezer. The other half was used for a huge crumble - half of which got frozen - and the rest eaten in one go :p lovely.

No spend day for me today.

Nothing so far. Have been no where today.

But might give my mum and call and see if she wants to go blackberrying.

Another lovely day. Windows have been open all day. Shame I did not need to do any washing.

Actually in profit today. Picked up about 50 lbs of fallen bramleys from the garden - some bruising, but quite useable. My wife and daughter started cooking, but we decided far too many for the freezer, so we filled a box and put it by the gate, with a sign - Cooking Apples - please help yourself. I was duly dispatched up the lane with a plastic bowl, which took a couple of hours to fill with blackberries.
When I got back, I saw that most, not all of the box of apples had gone, but, best of all, there was £1.40 in loose change, on the wall by the gate:T :T
I would not even have contemplated this a year ago, so this forum is obviously changing my attitude.
Now ready for meal of Lasagne al forno (my wife's speciality and my favourite) followed by loads of Apple and Blackberry Crumble:j :j
Even better, my eldest daughter and BF are coming to eat, and have promised to bring the wine:beer:

  • £24.67 in tesco on groceries and birthday cards (3 this month  ) but used £4 in vouchers and then £11 clubcard voucher (I know, I know, should've used it on 'deals' but mega skint at present) so cost in cash £9.67. Got some great reduced food bargains in this too, so not bad really.

Tomorrow, however will be very different as car is going to garage for expensive, unexpected repair.......... OUCH!
