How much have/will you spend today Sun 10/9 & challenge!

Good morning DFWs! :hello:

Another beautiful day down here. Dinner is in the oven and smells delicious, can't wait to tuck in!

Going for a no spender today. Yesterday turned out to be a higher spend than anticipated - about £20 in total - as I bought the meat for today and some trimmings as a treat for the OH taking me to the pictures and for drinks.

The spend yesterday left me with £7.55 until Friday which is payday. So my challenge is to not go into my overdraft but to make do with this £7.55 from today until Friday evening. Anyone care to join in? You choose the amount you want to challenge yourself with, but make sure it's lower than normal ;)

I find every little helps to get the motivation going! :rotfl:

Have a lovely day everyone.

PAP - penguins are scary! (think evil characters in films  ) When you say 'so on friday mozzie i want to see your weekly spend as less than £7', it's pretty terrifying. I think I can hear you going mwahahahha :rotfl: :rotfl: Anyway, the cow will be after you if your spend exceeds £5

I'm taking my niece out this afternoon, pictures and pizza, so it will be a 'dear do'! The budget is £25, but I don't see her often, so I don't mind.
Another sunny day too, bedclothes are out on the line in a nice breeze.

  • Hi Moozie

I'm going for another no spend today, just get lots of jobs done around the house instead to keep me busy!:D

I'm going to give myself £10 spends until Friday (Groceries in different budget!) Should be tight and will mean I have to take lunch into work everyday again but will be good for me:j

Good luck with your £7.55 :T

I'm a re-newbie MSE'er! Been out of work for a while & just totting up my debts and owings again to get back on track :(:(:( How did it get that high?????!!!! :(

I'm a no-spender today, but already agreed to cinema tomorro with colleague so £6 (& treat to myself for getting a better rate on my ISA yesterday), already got full tank of petrol for week and will make home made lunches.

Only thing will be buying is jobs papers! Budget for week £11.21 (the tenner and all the change in my purse!)
  • No spend for me today, have my feet up relaxing.

When OH comes home from work we'll make a start on packing our cases, we off on holiday on Thursday for a week.

    dreams do come true (eventually!)

  • Have already spent $1 on a car vacuum (half of teh park inside the car and didn't want to ruin my own hoover), $2.80 on car wash (park again!) and 4.30 in Tescos on loads of flatbreads, paninis, ciabattas, tea cakes etc that were reduced - all now safely in freezer -should have cost about 9 quid!!
    Will NOT spend anymore today!!

I have 12 quid to last until I get paid on Friday - there's about 200 more in the bank (in credit!) but I've just booked a trip to New York and want to put at least half of the 200 away towards the spending money and the other half towards Xmas.
