You will always only get 1 mail from worldpay
  • Hi,

I have a Halifax Current account and a Halifax Credit Card.

I can pay any bill from my current account via on line banking within two hours - except when I want to make a payment to my Halifax Credit card. For some reason this transaction (within the same company) takes three days...

Is the delay in place on purpose to make it difficult for customers to pay their Halifax credit card on time, so they can earn themselves a £12 late payment fee?

It's cause they don't subscribe to the Faster Payments scheme. I know, I hate them for it as well.

The system that deals with incoming HFX/BOS credit card payements does not accept faster payments.

As a HBOS employee, is this likely to change in the future? I don't want to use Direct Debit, so why do other providers accept Faster Payments and Halifax don't?
