All-in One Wireless Printer

Options
Can you help me...I'm looking for the Best All-in-One Wireless Printer.

I've currently got a HP but the cartridges are expensive and I tried a cheaper 'Compatible' and it's leaked ink terribly.

A good make with reasonably priced original Ink Cartridges would be nice...Epsom have been recommended

Thanks

Epsom are generally good when it comes to lots of printing because there are seperate tanks for each colour and I believe they have good ink management options.

HP are indeed a nightmare, I've also read posts on this forum where I think HP printers were locked into HP only cartridges (or that could be Dell)

Epsom / Canon are my choice, personally I'd say Canon because I have one, although for longetivity for saving money an Epsom is correct.

I had that on my last HP- it spat the dummy any time a 3rd party cartridge was inserted. I did get it working with them. Was expensive for ink £30 a pop brand new. When the X-Bias cartridge holder bust, I was straight down to replace it- no fixing!

Punted for the Kodak ESP3250 or something like that, £60 and ink is £10 a pop. Even if it was rubbish I couldn't really lose. Not exactly the world's best printer, printing can occasionally look a bit washed out, but photos are excellent and scans and copies are fine. Isn't the best built and sounds and rattles like an aircraft taking off, but for the cash I'm happy with it.

Consider a Brother All-in-One, they work perfectly with very cheap ( about £2 each delivered ) compatible cartridges, individual ink tanks for 3 colours.

I have 3 brother All-in-One's, never any problem

I have a Canon Pixma MP620, It's wireless. It takes compatible carts (the chipped ones) which I can buy for about £2 each. It has three colour and two black carts (one large black for general printing and one smaller one for photo's) and you can change one cart at a time. I get my carts from 'InKredible' and they have always worked!

Probably the main question to ask is: how much printing are you going to do?

If lots, then a laser all-in-one would be better than an inkjet, because ink cartridges dry out when lightly used and cost even more £lots-per-page than do colour lasers.

That said, we have a very good Canon Pixma MP640 at work. It has been enthusiastically reviewed, for example here.

Oh dear, wish I had read this a few days ago. My Cannon printer is rubbish so I bought HP PHOTOSMART C4580 ALL IN ONE PRINTER, WIFI. for £26 new, refurbished, on Ebay, genuine HP ink £25 for both cartridges but don't know how economical it will be.

I think that it is all down to personal taste, all printers have a problem of some sort or another.

I had a Brother All-in-One printer a few years ago, used compatible carts no problem, all seemed good ..... until the waste ink container became full.

There started endless error displays and refusal to print anything.

In the bin it went and I now have a HP Photosmart C7280, which uo to now has also been fine. It is also running on non-HP carts without any problems.

Have also had a Lexmark All-in-One previously, and after that would not touch one with a very long stick
