noobie question re BTs

in Credit cards
Hi,
I should know the answer to this as my debt has been spirallin for years!
anyhoo.....
Yesterday I checked my credit score (890:D) & decided to apply for GE Money CC as it seemed the best deal. I asked for 2 balances to be transferred and was summarily turned down.
My question is... should I have applied for the card and THEN asked for a BT after I had been accepted, or did I do it the right way round in the first place? (ie applied for card and filled in the BT part as part of the application). Or does this make no difference as to whether I would be accepted?
thanks in advance!

I think you did it the right way, as when doing the credit check they can then see that you would be paying the other cards with money owed on them. Thats my thought anyway.:)Henry James Born 18/03/2011-11 days late!:)

GE seem to be picky full stop so it probably wouldn't have made any difference what you did0
