Miele tumble dryer

I have one of these and it is a good dryer.
The only thing is that the temperature sensor has now blown three times. First time, we had to pay £112. It was out of warranty and we had caused it by letting fluff build up in a truly inaccessible vent. Not happy with this but paid as it was cheaper than a new one and I wasn't going to let fluff build up again.
Seven months later, same fault (April 2010). It was repaired free as the fix was under cover. No fluff could be found so it can't have been my fault even though I doubt that fluff was the reason it first went wrong.
This week, same fault. Engineer came. I asked him why it was going wrong so much. His reply "they are made so well that they will break down more often". (I think he really meant that there are more safety devices built in to Miele appliances to prevent major breakdowns by causing smaller parts to blow first. I think.)
I am not sure if this is a vent or praise. I think it is a vent. I am wondering what to do now. I don't want to complain about what was said as he is clearly the engineer for our area as he has been here 3 times. I don't want to face him again if I do complain!
Any ideas?
